I just had to drop you a line after watching a video of a friend's daughter's wedding (Mandi and Craig). Forgive the unsolicited email, but I believe we don't praise each other enough.
I am a TV journalist of long-standing and I think your work is superb: sensitive, human and technically excellent. You did not miss a moment and managed to convey the many aspects of such a special day with real warmth. There are many big budget TV programmes out there that could not compete with your use of footage and editing – and all done "fly on the wall" and with the obvious time constraints.
I absolutely commend you. Keep up your marvellous work – it was a joy to watch.

What Melody and Robbie said about their wedding film
We cannot thank Mike enough for our wedding video! I met Mike at one of those wedding shows where all the photographers wanted was your money ! When we spoke to Mike his passion for what he does and his relaxed nature really came through! He listened to what we wanted and delivered exactly that! We were surprised that we hardly noticed him all day as this was our initial worry with a videographer! We didn't want to feel like we were being followed all day! A videographer was something we weren't going to have initially but we are so glad we changed our mind! Our day flew by so it will be nice to always have the memories and the video of bits we missed ! Absolutely worth the money 100%! Hopefully we will cross paths again in the future.

Organising our wedding and the one thing I knew I really wanted was it on video to watch every anniversary. I booked Mike without my husband knowing, then we arranged a meeting and I dragged him along, once we left the first thing he said to me was, I think you’ve made the right choice here. (Obviously I already knew that before we even met Mike) on the day we wouldn’t even have known Mike was there, he was so discreet!! We got our video when we came back our honeymoon and it was just perfect he managed to capture all the things I as a bride miss on the day, I cried more watching it than I did on our wedding day. The quality of the video is amazing, and the way you personalise the USB was perfect, it’s such a unique touch (it’s the small things) thank you Mike for everything, being able to have this and watch it as many times as I like.......priceless

Mike filmed our wedding at the Lochside House Hotel on the 22nd December 2021. We were absolutely delighted with our highlights video and how quickly we received it. Fantastic to watch it back and see all the amazing memories Mike caught. As our wedding was in lockdown our video meant so much more as we were able to let family and friends who were not able to attend be part of the day. Mike was fantastic throughout very professional and worked brilliantly with our photographer. The effort Mike went to, to make our everlasting video as fantastic as it is was above and beyond.

We booked Mike for our wedding on 6th March 2021. We had already postponed from 2020 so were just looking to get married despite restrictions. Mike was so helpful throughout the process and wanted to make sure our day was as special as possible given the circumstances. As we couldn't have all of our family at our ceremony, Mike offered to stream the service and even went to our venue for a test run to make sure everything would run smoothly on the day. He made us feel so relaxed during filming and the finished product turned out amazing!

Booking Mike as our videographer was the best decision we made for our wedding ! Cannot recommend Something New highly enough ! The professionalism Mike has shown throughout the whole experience has been second to none. We had to postpone our day twice and the communication throughout the pandemic was fantastic. Mike took the time to meet up before the wedding to discuss all the little details and was so down to Earth and a pleasure to be around all day! Our highlight video was just amazing and we woke up to it on our Honeymoon. We received our wedding film exactly four weeks after wedding and it was so lovely to watch and relive our day.

Mike filmed our wedding on Skye in October 2021. We were delighted with our highlights video and it was great to get this just a week after our wedding and share with those that couldn't make it on the day. Now we have all the footage and it's amazing to have all the moments from the day captured, especially bits we missed ourselves on the day! The videos are such high quality and beautifully edited.
We had a great experience with Mike throughout the entire process. He was responsive, friendly and worked well with both our guests, photographer and celebrant. Mike's enthusiasm for what he does was clear and he definitely puts in the effort - especially travelling to Skye, dealing with all the weather conditions and our very last minute decision to hold the ceremony outside.
I'd recommend him to any couple looking for a videographer and think he offers great value and top quality!

Turn around time for the highlights film was super quick at just a few days and we got the full film a couple of weeks after that. Super fast and efficient.
Not only that but it was delivered in a stunning, personalised box for you to keep it safe and treasure forever.
Oh my, how BEAUTIFUL they both are!! Mike you’re an absolute genius! From the footage included in them to the backing songs selected, every single aspect was just PERFECT!!
If we could go back and do it all over again we absolutely would and would most definitely have Mike at SN on our team again!
I’ve watched it more times than I can count and every single time there’s butterflies, goosebumps and tears!

We cannot thank Mike enough. He was professional from the first meeting to us receiving our wedding video. Mike used cameras set up at different angles to capture all those special moments for us.
We have family in New Zealand who weren't able to make it over for the wedding due to travel restrictions. Mike set up a Web link that one of our groomsmen uploaded for us after the ceremony which allowed our family to take part in our day. The link is private and we can still use the link to see the wedding ceremony.
We also had drone footage that all of our guests loved. It allowed us to have a group shot with all of our wedding guests.

We had Mike for our wedding at The Waterside on 20 June 2022 and as perfect as the day was Mike’s video is absolutely stunning. He worked so well with the wedding party,other suppliers and hotel to give us the most beautiful video of our special day. It’s a day we will never ever forget and now with Mike’s video we will always the most perfect reminder.

Mike was fantastic on our wedding day last week and after getting a brilliant highlights video to us in just 3 days we cannot wait to see the final footage. We were initially very dubious about hiring a videographer but are now very happy we did and are very happy we used Something New. Mike is very easy going, knew exactly what he was doing and made the day a lot easier for us. Most of the time we forgot he was there, he worked away in the background to get lots of candid footage and worked very well with out photographer. I always wanted a videographer & Michael was unsure, however, once we seen Mike’s work & we met him we knew that he would capture our day beautifully & that we just had to book! Mike explained everything to us and when he arrived on the day everything felt very real (in a good way) with him being a calming source. Mike’s personality was great & he made us feel at ease. He does say nobody notices him when he’s videoing the wedding which I initially never believed but he fits in so seamlessly that honestly you wouldn’t know he was there in the kindest way possible. Mike sent us our wedding highlights the day after our wedding which gave us the opportunity to watch this when we were still celebrating at the wedding venue with our nearest & dearest 🥰. There wasn’t a dry eye in the room & the wedding was captured perfectly allowing both myself & Michael to see bits of our day that we weren’t part of or couldn’t have possibly seen. The highlights were even shown to everyone on our honeymoon 🤣 a full sports bar at 4am. We received our full wedding video on Wednesday and watched it last night 🥺 I don’t have words to describe the emotions but it was unreal. There is not a shadow of a doubt that we had made the right decision. We both definitely recommend Mike and can’t thank him enough for allowing us to relive the best day of our lives over & over again x
