Welcome to the Something New Page. As a small local business (based in Irvine, North Ayrshire) I genuinely appreciate your consideration for your special day. I have tried to list all you need to know about me and how I work on these pages but if you have any questions at all just click the button below, I always love to chat about all things wedding. As you will see there is a lot of information on my website as I like to be totally clear on my pricing and what your will receive and when, there are no 'hidden' charges everything is laid out for you to be able to make the best informed decision. I am more than happy for you to compare my pricing and films against other competition as I genuinely believe I offer an amazing package and pricing.

Something New Bespoke Wedding Films was established in 2018 in South West Scotland and quickly became one of the leading luxury wedding film suppliers in the Ayrshire area.

Having filmed over 300 weddings I work on a quality rather than quantity basis and only book in so many weddings per month to ensure we deliver your final films to you in a timely manner. As I only have limited space available I would always advise to book sooner rather then later. I film from the background and look to give your films a natural vibe, meaning I don't generally give much direction I let your photographer do their thing and just work around them and often get told I am hardly noticed as part of your day as you will see from my reviews.
Is a Wedding Film right for you ?
In these social media times you may ask yourself if a wedding film is for you ? or is having a content Creator a better option. Of course only you can decide on what works best for you, a Content Creator is a cheaper option (often free) filming on their phone in a 9:16 (portrait) orientation. As this footage is not edited/coloured together it has a much quicker turn around in getting 'content' back to you most time the very next day. You can think of a CC as the McDonalds of the wedding trade, giving you that instant hit of footage which follows the latest trends designed and filmed for your social media followers to be viewed on a 6 inch screen. You receive 600-900 unedited clips to work through on your phone. Think of a CC to professional wedding film comparison as what a photo booth is to your wedding photos.

I film with cinema grade cameras and use on person microphones so capture the tremor in your partner's voice as they are saying their vows. I fully edit all your films so it feels you watching a whole production, I split your films into 6 chapters and produce a beautiful 'Highlights' Film which you can think of as the Netflix special. I don't film for your followers I film for you and your family, the ones you have now and the maybe the ones that will come along in the future so you can share that special day in your life. My films are edited to be shown on a 16:9 (landscape) cinematic format (Tv sized) I focus on the story telling of your day and the emotion that comes with such a special day. My films are not just a string of clips that will have been forgotten by next Wednesday your films are for forever. We don't know in 10 - 20 - 50 years what apps or trends will be current but your films are not following the latest trend but follows the emotion of the day. I am more expensive as I have more tech, multiple cameras, lenses, drones, microphones and lights, I use professional editing software, licence music and take around a week to edit all your films together and have a turnaround time of 12-14 weeks. I appreciate we all need to scratch that social media itch so now deliver a next day 9:16 (portrait) 40 second teaser for your followers as part of my full day package
My cameras look like...err... cameras ! (I mean they are small and we can work discreetly, blending into the background and we often get told I am hardly noticeable) However they along with my high end lenses, have have been put together to give outstanding Film quality. I feel your wedding films are like a time capsule and know that they will become more and more valuable as the years go on so we film and supply all our weddings in 4K ultra high definition as standard to give you beautiful films that will still hold their quality in years to come, (For comparison we all know how VHS looks now). I am a qualified and insured drone pilot and include drone footage at no extra cost, depending on location and weather conditions. I have a relaxed shooting style filming the day as it happens and allow your photographer to get on and do their thing.

Delivering your Films
I am able to supply your films to you either digitally or by flash drive (USB). On our digital platform you are able to view and download your films. Your films are held online for 10 years and can be viewed and downloaded as many times as you like. You can share the link with your family who can do the same and can be viewed on any device including streaming directly onto your TV, simply search vidflow on your apps on your TV it will be in there somewhere.
Our Flashdrive option gives you 4k files on a USB with presentation box, or choose to have your films digitally and on USB for a £150 upgrade
What you receive from me
For easy sharing and viewing I split the day up into chapters, depending what you book with me but typically a full day wedding would be delivered like this and I target to do this around 12 -14 weeks of your day. All Films are fully edited with the music of your choice.
Your Film, Your Way
I look to meet up with you both around six weeks before your day and go over what you are looking form your wedding films. Do you want your vows over your highlights ? do you want to focus on some particular parts of your day? this is the time to go over it. I also go over hints and tips and how all the audio works on the day and on your final films giving you the option to choose exactly what music to have on your films and get fully involved with how your final films will look and sound.

There is something incredibly special about a winter wedding when the stars align. Despite it being February, Olivia and Michael had the perfect chilled-out day at the Lochside House Hotel—even managed to sneak outside for those stunning portraits!
Keep an eye out for Michael’s reaction when he sees Olivia walking down the aisle. It’s those raw, unscripted moments that remind us why we do what we do.
The day was relaxed, full of love, and effortlessly beautiful.

October Magic on the Isle of Skye
They say if you don't like the weather in Scotland, just wait ten minutes. But for Fiona and Alasdair, the October rain was exactly what made their day at the Sligachan Hotel so unforgettable.
Exchanging vows on the ancient Sligachan Bridge with the Cuillin mountains shrouded in mist, there was a raw, authentic beauty that no sunny day could replicate. It wasn't just a ceremony; it was an adventure.
The day wrapped up in true Highland fashion—great friends, legendary scenery, and a ceilidh that nearly took the roof off
Summer Wedding
Rebecca & Angus's Beautiful Wedding Film
Get ready for some serious joy and laughter! Rebecca and Angus (Mr. & Mrs. Johnstone) are the stars in their very own beautiful wedding film, and their day was nothing short of a party. Married at the stunning Enterkine Hoytel in the Ayrshire countryside, their celebration was filled with incredible energy. Angus even pulled off a perfect dip coming back up the aisle, and with the amazing party atmosphere from the DJ there was a hilarious table dash for photos and so many champagne sprays!
