A Little About Us...

Something New Bespoke Wedding Films was established in 2018 in South West Scotland and  quickly became one of the leading luxury wedding film suppliers in the Ayrshire area.

We are very lucky to have so many amazing wedding venues in and around Ayrshire, and we are delighted to be recommended suppliers at the following fabulous venues, which we often attend

The Waterside Hotel, West Kilbride

The Gailes Hotel, Irvine

Enterkine House Resort, Ayr

The Riverside Hotel, Irvine

The Fenwick Hotel, Fenwick

Dumfries house, Cumnock

We work on a quality rather than quantity basis and only so many bookings per month to ensure we deliver your final films to you in a timely manner. As we only have limited space available we would always advise to book sooner rather then later.

Our cameras look like...err... cameras ! (We mean they are small and we can work discreetly,  blending into the background and we often get told we are hardly noticeable) However they along with our high end lenses, have have been put together to give outstanding Film quality. We film and supply all our weddings in 4K ultra high definition as standard to give you beautiful films that will still hold their quality in years to come, If you are unsure if you need this just think what VHS looks like now. I am a qualified drone pilot and include drone footage at no extra cost, depending on location and weather conditions. We have a relaxed shooting style filming the day as it happens and allow your photographer to get on and do their thing. We normally get told by our couples that they forget we're there !

Delivering your Films

We have moved onto a digital platform to view and download your films. Your films are held online for 10 years and can be viewed and downloaded as many times as you like. You can share the link with your family who can do the same and can be viewed on any device including streaming directly onto your TV, simply search vidflow on your apps on your TV it will be in there somewhere.

We can still supply your films on USB if you wish, or even supply digitally and on USB for a £100 upgrade

What you receive from us

For easy sharing and viewing we split the day up into sections, depending what you book with us but typically a full day wedding would be delivered like this and we target to do this within 6-8 weeks of your day

Your Film, Your Way

We look to meet up with you both around four weeks before your day and go over what you are looking form your wedding films. Do you want your vows over your highlights ? do you want to focus on some particular parts of your day? this is the time to go over it. I also go over hints and tips and how all the audio works on the day and on your final films giving you the option to get fully involved with how your final films will look and sound.

I am Carrie the woman behind the camera. I have been a professional

photographer for 17 years now and photographed my first wedding in 2006

on a beautiful beach in Barbados whilst working on a luxury cruise ship.

I instantly fell in love with weddings after that.

I worked for 10 years at one of Scotland's top studios photographing weddings throughout Glasgow and Lanarkshire and gained a wealth of experience before starting my own company in 2017, the year I also welcomed my beautiful daughter Myla into the world.

I absolutely love my job and put my heart and soul into every wedding I photograph, I feel very lucky to have a job that I am so passionate about.

When I'm not photographing weddings, editing, or being wrapped around Myla's little finger I can be found strumming a guitar and singing out of tune!

Im David Long, a photographer, specialising in reportage style photography, based in West Kilbride, North Ayrshire.
I first picked up a camera in my early thirties when I developed an interest in landscape photography, taking photographs of our stunning surroundings in Scotland, little did I know this hobby would turn into my absolute passion. When my beautiful son Cooper came into our world, I also began to develop my interest in portraiture photography.
Not only did I enjoy the creative side of photography, Being the techie geek I am (I’m not ashamed to admit this) I also became engrossed in learning the technical skills needed to take the perfect image. Through years of self study and practical experience I was able to gain the knowledge and confidence to document the most special day in a couple’s lives, their wedding day and thus my business was born.
I completely appreciate that there is more to wedding photography than technical skill and creativity and understand that in order to be such a vital part of your day, you need to feel completely confident in my company. Personally, I am a friendly and approachable person which is key when making both yourselves and your guests feel at ease while I work. My style of photography is very natural and I love to capture those special moments that tend to go unnoticed . This means I like to quietly work away in the background, allowing everyone to enjoy their day unguarded.
I’m all ears in terms of listening to ideas and making those pictures in your head come to life, this is probably one of my favourite aspects of photography. To get a good understanding of what you would like to see in your photographs takes time therefore I like to spend time with you, getting to know you which again helps couples feel at ease when the big day arrives.

My name is Kevin, I live in the south side of Glasgow with my wife who helps out with the business. I’m originally from Ayrshire, which is not too far away from where I live and I love being near the sea and get down to the coast as often as I can. I have two grown up children and my daughter Kate is getting married in a few weeks, so I appreciate how much planning and effort goes in to making your wedding day a success and a happy occasion.

I’ve been involved in wedding photographs for over 7 years and it is what I spend most of my working time doing. There’s always something magical about capturing a special moment at a wedding. I was previously involved in sports photography and the skills I used there means I’m always ready to capture the unexpected.

Wedding photography for me is an exciting and always changing job which I really enjoy being involved in. I love the excitement and atmosphere on a wedding day, everyone is having fun, and making the day so special. It's a privilege being involved and to be a part of your wedding day. I'm a very sociable person and will interact with guests and family so people feel a bit more comfortable with me snapping photos of them.

Please take time to look through my website which contains the information you require, such as the packages I offer with pricing and how to make a booking enquiry. You can also look through my social media and my Facebook page for samples of my work and read reviews from previous clients. I am happy to answer any questions and look forward to helping you and your family to capture those fantastic, once in a lifetime moments from your wedding.

When I’m not taking photographs, I can usually be found out an about walking. From where I live, 40 mins in any direction opens up the coast, Loch Lomond, Stirling as well as some great nearby countryside trails. Glasgow is spoiled for parks which, when time allows, will see us both out on our bikes making the most of the great space around us. The camera is always by my side.

I’ve been in love with photography ever since I was given a camera for my birthday as a 12 year old. There’s something magical about capturing unique moments, whether it be a sunset, a special moment with friends or family or knowing you’ve taken a shot which just captures someone you love perfectly.

I’ve been taking wedding photographs for over 20 years now and it is still very much a passion of mine. I started off my career as a theatre photographer,  working for many of Scotland’s leading theatre and opera companies, something I still do. My experience in photographing live performances gives me a unique approach when capturing the many special moments during a wedding day. Some of my work is actually held by the Scottish National Portrait Gallery in Edinburgh.

When I’m not taking photographs, I can usually be found ferrying my daughters between dancing, swimming, brownies, violin lessons, parties and various other things. When I get a spare moment, I try and practise a little yoga and meditation!
